Bridging the gap between the plastics industry and the state government

kunststoffland NRW is more than just a dedicated and successful industry network. The potential of the association, founded in 2006 on the initiative of the plastics industry, was recognised at an early stage by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. As part of the state’s leading-market policy, kunststoffland NRW was designated as the key association supporting the state competence network of the same name.
State competence networks are responsible for a few selected leading markets in NRW, including plastics in their capacity as new materials. These networks act on behalf of the state and are essential knowledge carriers in their respective industries. They also have to be well-connected within their industry and with the relevant scientific institutions and have experience both in project work and in coordinating all significant industry- and technology-related matters. Their main mission in this process is to enhance cooperation between all stakeholders from the worlds of business, science, culture and politics along their respective value chain.
kunststoffland NRW is the interface between the plastics industry and state government. Thanks to its unique role as a state competence network, kunststoffland NRW enjoys excellent access to state government and administration and is in regular dialogue with the competent bodies.
The kunststoffland NRW state competence network is a project supported by funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
